Rooted in Vision: How the Project Began

The project was conceived in 2011 in California, where the founder—moved by the growing needs of underserved communities in Somalia—felt a deep call to act. Inspired by his hometown, he envisioned a way to give back by investing in local healthcare education. That vision became reality when he established the Public Health Department at Amoud University in Borama, Somalia. He returned home, energized the community, and officially launched the project in 2012, laying the foundation for what would become a powerful, ongoing movement of service, education, and sustainable health impact.
